In February 2005, Oriental City Group (OCG) started to launch its first Lifestyle-driven payment card business in China in targeting to serve the fast expanding high and middle income groups with high consumption power accumulated under the recent rapid economy development. Strategically linked with its comprehensive regional OCG Services Platform, OCG has successfully established and positioned to be among the first Hong Kong financial institutions in issuing Lifestyle Payment Cards in Mainland China that produced win-win business to the Group, its merchant partners and cardmembers.

OCG initiated the launch of the first Lifestyle Golf Payment Card in China - Pacific-OCG Golf Card (hereinafter called "Golf Card") in February 2005, jointly issued with Bank of Communications (BOCOM), a well-known and established state-owned banking institution. The Golf Card was officially issued on July 28th, 2005, with a unique translucent design in sophistication for prestigious Golf Cardmembers. In addition to all banking benefits provided by BOCOM for the regular payment card, the Golf Card delivers a host of diversified golf and lifestyle-related benefits to Cardmembers in Hainan, Hong Kong, and other major cities in Asia Pacific. Since its first launch, the number of cardmembers has been increasing significantly in a short period of time which marks the Golf Card to be one of the most successful co-brand payment cards of BOCOM.

The next strategic target of OCG is to expand its market share in China. Geared up with successful experience in card marketing and services platform delivery, OCG is now planning to launch different card programs partnering with various domestic business institutions and leading banks. Besides, OCG will further expand its merchant offers category in China by networking all domestic merchants to form a diversified services platform to provide value-added quality services to Lifestyle Cardmembers.

Before joining OCG, she worked for Hainan Dalin Cosmetics Ltd. and Haikou Yaao Pawn Co., Ltd as Office and Administration Manager. Ms. Chen graduated from the Chengdu University of Technology, Department of Management Science.

Echo Deng
Marketing Executive

Echo Deng graduated from the Haikou Economics and Vocational Technology Institute. Ms. Deng worked in sales and marketing positions in Hainan local corporations. She worked at Chengdu Fuzuo Co. in providing extensive training to new sales and customer relations administration. Ms. Deng also worked at a 5-star hotel Group responsible for VIP marketing.  She is very familiar with Hainan local market and also a professional in marketing. In addition, she has strong local business connections and all-rounded marketing experience.

Mr. Henry C.F. YU (Chairman of OCG) and Mr. Yang Yu Ming (Head of Bank of Communications - Hainan) conducted an interview with Hainan.net to elaborate the partnership Golf Card project between the two esteemed financial institutions.
