Bank of Communications
Bank of Communications was established in 1908. In 1987, the Bank was restructured to be the first state owned shareholding commercial bank in China. The Bank’s profitability is ranked as the first-tier level in the banking industry in China. Today, the Bank of Communications is one of the top 5 commercial banks in China and has an extensive network of over 2,700 branches covering over 137 major cities. The Bank is ranked as 6th in term of number of cards issued in China. In recent years, the Bank has focused on the card business and launched different types of theme cards, co-brand cards and personal cards. Bank of Communications and Oriental City Group Limited jointly launched Pacific-OCG Golf Card to reflect their common visions in the card business.

Bank of Communications was awarded "The Best Bank in China" by international acclaimed magazines Euromoney and Global Finance in 1998 and 1999 respectively. The Bank was ranked as one of the top 100 most efficient banks of the world by the February 2003 edition of The Bank.

China UnionPay
Licensed by the People’s Bank of China and established in April 2002, China UnionPay (CUP) is a shareholding financial institution jointly established by 80 founding financial institutions. Now, CUP has more than 130
member institutions.

In October 2002, CUP successfully acquired the first batch of 800 BIN code blocks from the International Standard Organization (ISO). It symbolizes CUP’s first big step towards internationalization.

At the 2009 Q3, there were over 1.9 billion of CUP cards issued in China.  After achieving its first target of "Welcomed Everywhere in China", CUP starts to implement its new target of "Providing Service Wherever Chinese go". Based on its successful experience in Hong Kong and Macau, China UnionPay launched merchant acquiring service in Thailand, Korea and Singapore. To support CUP’s internationalization strategy, OCG Thailand successfully launched CUP merchant acquiring service in Thailand at the beginning of 2005.
